Plans change. Somebody's circumstances shift, a route closes, a goal turns out to be wrong. Revising is how you handle that — and it never disturbs what was already agreed.
A signed version cannot be edited
Not by you, not by an administrator. Once both of you have signed, that version is frozen. There is no edit and no delete.
This is deliberate. A signed plan is a record of what two people agreed on a date. A record you can quietly change afterwards is not a record.
A signed plan and a draft of the next one are two tabs above the board — v5 · in force and v6 · draft. The in-force tab has no board on it at all: there is nothing to drag, so there is nothing to alter by accident. That is the same guarantee, working.
If you edit a goal from the in-force side — through the drawer on a goal card — you are asked to confirm, and confirming opens the draft and makes the edit there. The signed version is never the thing being changed.
Start a revision
Choose Start a revision — draft v2 (the number follows your current version).
From that moment:
- v1 stays in force. It remains the agreement, in full, unchanged.
- Your draft is separate. Nothing you do in it touches v1.
- v1 is superseded only when you both sign v2.
So there is no window where the participant has no valid plan. The old one governs right up until the new one is signed.
Change your mind
Set draft v2 aside puts the draft away and returns you to v1 in force.
It does not throw the draft away — your changes are kept, and there is deliberately no "discard" button. If you pick the revision up again later, your work is still there.
If a revision is already out for signing
You cannot start another revision while one is waiting for a signature. Take it back first with Take v2 back from signing, then continue editing.
Similarly, if you make a material change to the agreed goals while a proposal is out, the proposal is withdrawn automatically — you have changed what you were asking them to agree to, so the old question no longer stands.
Deleting a plan
There is no way to delete a signed plan from the interface, and ending a counseling service does not remove one. The participant keeps their signed agreements and can still read them afterwards.
